Holiday Destinations: The Leaning Tower of Pisa

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the belfry or unconnected bell tower of the cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa which is located behind the Cathedral and the third oldest structure in Pisa's Cathedral Square. It is one of the greatest attractions of Europe which is completed in three stages across 177 years.

It is begun in 1173; the bell tower of Pisa Cathedral is prominent for the uneven of its sandy foundations that has led to an important bend of 5.5 degrees.

Work was suspended several times as engineers worked to find a solution, but the tower was still leaning when it was completed in 1350. It is one of the most favorite holiday destinations of tourist which comes from all over the world just to see and know about its history.
